Profile
About JK
JK is a bhangra singer born and raised in Derby. Mentored by Sukhjit Singh Olk of Tru-Skool, he developed a traditional Punjabi folk vocal with just enough western influence to connect with British Asian audiences. He won Best Newcomer at the Asian Music Awards in 2010.
His debut album Gabru Panjab Dha, released in 2011, was praised for its raw, folk inspired sound and went on to win Best Album awards, with singles including the title track and Challeh Mundhia. His follow up Baghi Tera Yaar took a more cinematic, socially aware approach, and he has also recorded boliyan to keep that traditional art form alive. He features on Puth Jattan De with Tru-Skool.
JK works closely with Punjab Bhangra Crew in Derby, so he understands exactly what a bhangra floor needs. He is a great pick for families who want an authentic folk voice and proper boliyan at the mehndi or reception.

Thank you Jeeven & Party events for organising Dholies
Well I have been in touch with Jeeven who organises events for party central and he has been great help. His customer service is excellent, he has been very patient and helpful with finding a package best suited for my requirements even there were few change and chop about timing & Dates. Jeeven is a very friendly guy and easy to communicate with as well as very quick in responses. So thank you Jeeven for organising Dholies for me.

So managed to a booking for my daughter’s engagement party! Was happy to discuss needs with Sanj. Booking is for the future 01/08/26, but feel very confident and organised sorting this out before time! Will come back and leave a review after the event, but Sanj has been very active in helping with the booking, thank you
