Lakhwinder Wadali

Lakhwinder Wadali was born in Amritsar into one of Punjab's most respected musical families. His father, Ustad Puran Chand Wadali, is one half of the Sufi duo the Wadali Brothers, and his grandfather Thakur Dass Wadali was also a well-known vocalist. Lakhwinder trained in classical music under his father.

His singing blends classical technique with modern arrangements, and he moves between Sufi, folk, romantic songs, ghazals and bhangra. His albums include Unpredictable, Naina De Buhe, Ranjhanna and Rabb Manneya, and he has recorded with his father on tracks like "Maula" and "Nazaara" as well as with Aar Bee on "Kangana" and "Mahiya".

Lakhwinder brings a soulful, spiritual quality that suits sangeet nights, intimate receptions and evenings where guests want to sit back and really listen. He can also lift the tempo with folk and bhangra when the party starts.
