So managed to a booking for my daughter’s engagement party! Was happy to discuss needs with Sanj. Booking is for the future 01/08/26, but feel very confident and organised sorting this out before time! Will come back and leave a review after the event, but Sanj has been very active in helping with the booking, thank you

Why book a saxophonist?

A live saxophonist adds instant class to a drinks reception or dinner, and real energy when playing over a DJ. It is one of the most versatile live music options you can book.

Sax suits everything from relaxed lounge sets to house and commercial dance sets, and it fits Gatsby and jazz themes perfectly.

Where it works best

  • Drinks receptions

    Smooth, relaxed sets.

  • Sax with DJ

Live sax over the DJ's set.

  • Weddings

    From reception to dance floor.

  • Gatsby nights

    Jazz and swing standards.

  • Corporate parties

A live edge for the dance floor.

  • Launches

A stylish soundtrack for the reveal.

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Brief the DJ

A sax over the DJ works best when they share the set list in advance.

  2. 2

    Roaming or fixed

Wireless kit lets the sax roam the room. Tell us what you prefer.

  3. 3

    Short, high-impact sets

Two or three sets at the right moments beat one long one.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to hire a saxophonist?

Sax players start from £550. How long they play, how many sets you need, whether they play with your DJ and travel all change the final price. From prices are a guide only. Your final price depends on availability, your date, location and travel, time on site and your exact requirements, plus anything else your event needs.

Can a sax player perform with our DJ?

Yes. A sax player over the DJ is one of the most popular combinations, adding a live, club feel to the dancefloor.

When is the best time to have a sax player?

Drinks receptions and the first hour of dancing are the most popular. Some couples book both, with a short break in between.

Can a sax player perform outdoors?

Yes, with a covered area and a power supply if amplification is needed.

Can the saxophonist play with our DJ?

Yes. Sax with DJ is one of the most popular combinations for parties and weddings.

What time will the sax players arrive, and how will they look?

They arrive smartly dressed and on time, usually 30 to 45 minutes before the performance, so they are ready the moment you need them. We share arrival times and a contact number with you before the day.

Are your sax players vetted and insured?

Yes. Every partner is vetted by our team before they are listed. They hold public liability insurance and certificates, carry out risk assessments, and any electrical equipment they bring is PAT tested. Venues often ask for these documents and we can supply them.

How far in advance should I book sax players?

For weddings and summer weekends, book as early as you can, ideally several months ahead, as the best dates go first. We can often help at short notice too, so it is always worth asking.

Do you cover my area?

Yes. We cover England, Scotland and Wales, and our partners regularly travel abroad for destination weddings. Search your town on our coverage page to see local options.
