About Apache Indian
Apache Indian, born Steven Kapur in Handsworth, Birmingham, started out on local reggae sound systems in the early 1980s. He signed to Island Records in 1992 and became a pioneer of "bhangragga", a mix of bhangra and ragga, selling over 11 million albums worldwide.
His biggest hit, "Boom Shack-A-Lak", reached number five in the UK, and "Arranged Marriage", "Chok There", "Wreckx Shop" and "Make Way for the Indian" all made the UK charts. He was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 1993 and for an Ivor Novello Award, and was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2021 for services to music and young people. He also performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Thank you Jeeven & Party events for organising Dholies
Well I have been in touch with Jeeven who organises events for party central and he has been great help. His customer service is excellent, he has been very patient and helpful with finding a package best suited for my requirements even there were few change and chop about timing & Dates. Jeeven is a very friendly guy and easy to communicate with as well as very quick in responses. So thank you Jeeven for organising Dholies for me.

So managed to a booking for my daughter’s engagement party! Was happy to discuss needs with Sanj. Booking is for the future 01/08/26, but feel very confident and organised sorting this out before time! Will come back and leave a review after the event, but Sanj has been very active in helping with the booking, thank you
