Profile
About Gurdas Maan
Gurdas Maan was born in Giddarbaha, Punjab, and studied at DAV College in Malout. He was working for the electricity board when a 1980 television performance of Dil Da Mamla Hai made him a household name across India. Since then he has released more than 34 albums and written hundreds of songs, while also building a long acting career in Punjabi and Hindi cinema.
His songs are known for their poetry and warmth. Chhalla, Mamla Gadbad Hai and Dil Da Mamla Hai are still sung at family gatherings, and his Coke Studio performance of Ki Banu Duniya Da with Diljit Dosanjh introduced him to a new generation. He won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris and received the Filmfare Living Legend award in 2017.
A Gurdas Maan performance is a landmark moment for any event. His presence suits prestigious weddings, milestone celebrations and cultural galas where the audience spans every generation.

Booking is for the future 01/08/26, but feel very confident and organised sorting this out before time! Will come back and leave a review after the event, but Sanj has been very active in helping with the booking, thank you
