What does a compere or MC do?
A compere or MC hosts your event from the stage: welcoming guests, introducing speakers and acts, running awards, filling gaps and keeping the night to time. A good host makes the whole event feel organised and relaxed.
Hosts can be polished and formal for an awards ceremony, warm and funny for a family day, or in character, such as a ringmaster for a circus theme. They work closely with your running order and your AV team.

How much do comperes and MCs cost?

What time will the comperes and MCs arrive, and how will they look?
They arrive smartly dressed and on time, usually 30 to 45 minutes before the performance, so they are ready the moment you need them. We share arrival times and a contact number with you before the day.
Are your comperes and MCs vetted and insured?
Yes. Every partner is vetted by our team before they are listed. They hold public liability insurance and certificates, carry out risk assessments, and any electrical equipment they bring is PAT tested. Venues often ask for these documents and we can supply them.
How far in advance should I book comperes and MCs?
For weddings and summer weekends, book as early as you can, ideally several months ahead, as the best dates go first. We can often help at short notice too, so it is always worth asking.
