Solid
Thanks Sanj, super swift and very efficient booking! The dholis were both ace, super accommodating of random requests and an unorthodox set up. Everyone loved them, would book again and will recommend highly to all!

Thank you Sanj and PC
Thank you Sanj! We booked our dhol players and mandap through party central and they we both amazing! The dhol players were bang on time, and the mandap was absolutely stunning - Sanj got them to throw in lots of little extras, and they kindly picked up some paan for us. I’ve got a super busy job and Sanj was patient, helpful and completely took the stress away from me having to speak to suppliers. We had left it quite late, and had quite tight turnaround times but he made it happen. He liased directly with my florists and coordinator so it could all be a surprise for me on the day which made it extra special. From being sceptical at the start (the first question I asked Sanj was whether they were Legit 😂) to bring so grateful at the end - I’d highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience booking…
I had an excellent experience booking dhol players for my event. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, responsive, and very professional. They really took the time to understand what I needed and tailored a package specifically for my event, which made everything feel personal and well-organized. What impressed me most was how budget-friendly the service was without compromising on quality. The performance itself was energetic and added such a vibrant atmosphere to the occasion. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to make their event extra special!

Incredible energy
We had Elite drummers at our wedding at the beautiful Sezincote house in the Cotswolds- Dav and the crew were sensational! They bought the energy to the bharat procession - all the guests were literally having the best time- it was a joy to watch. Guys thank you from the bottom of hearts for being such an integral part of the best day of our lives! X x x

Dhol players prices in Malvern Hills
From £295 for 2 players
Dhol players start from £295 for two players. That typically covers a groom's entrance or a bride and groom reception entrance. The price goes up for more players, longer time on site, dhol sets alongside the DJ and corporate events. Time on site makes a real difference: if there is a long gap between the couple's entrance at the reception and a later dhol set during the dancing, the players stay on site in between and the quote reflects that. From prices are a guide only. Your final price depends on availability, your date, location and travel, time on site and your exact requirements, plus anything else your event needs. Travel to Malvern Hills is included in your quote.

What do dhol players bring to an event?
A dhol is a double-headed barrel drum from Punjab, played with two sticks: the heavier dagga for the bass side and the thin tihli for the treble. It is loud, fast and made to move a crowd.
At UK weddings, dhol players lead the baraat, bring the couple into the reception and play high energy sets alongside the DJ. Most bookings are for two to four players.
Our professional dhol players cover Punjabi weddings, Sikh and Hindu baraats, Indian wedding receptions, Vaisakhi and Diwali parties and corporate events. Whether you are looking for wedding dhol players near you or dhol players for hire anywhere in the UK, tell us your date and venue and we will send options and prices.

Tips from our team
- 1
Confirm the venue's limits on dhol
Some venues limit set length, the number of players and finish or baraat start times. Froyle Park allows 10 minutes and two players, North Mymms Park allows two players and usually a 10:30pm finish, and The Fairmont Windsor Park does not allow a baraat before 10am. Check with your venue, caterer or wedding planner, then tell us.
- 2
Plan the baraat route
Agree where the baraat starts, how long it walks and where it finishes. Five minutes of walking is plenty for most families.
- 3
Secure your date with a deposit
Dhol teams have a set number of players and bookings are first come, first served with a deposit. Dhol players often do several events in one day, so exact timings matter.
- 4
Time the entrance with your DJ
The best entrances hand over cleanly between dhol and DJ. We share a simple running order with both.
Frequently asked questions
How much do dhol players cost in Malvern Hills?
Dhol players start from £295 for two players. That typically covers a groom's entrance or a bride and groom reception entrance. The price goes up for more players, longer time on site, dhol sets alongside the DJ and corporate events. Time on site makes a real difference: if there is a long gap between the couple's entrance at the reception and a later dhol set during the dancing, the players stay on site in between and the quote reflects that. From prices are a guide only. Your final price depends on availability, your date, location and travel, time on site and your exact requirements, plus anything else your event needs. Travel to Malvern Hills is included in your quote.
How many dhol players do I need?
Two dhol players cover most entrances and receptions. For a big baraat, a large venue or a dramatic entrance, families often book three or four so the sound carries and the energy builds.
What is a dhol set with the DJ?
The dhol players come back during the dancing and play live over the DJ's bhangra tracks. It lifts the dancefloor instantly. Many couples book an entrance and a dhol set together, and we plan the timings so the players are not waiting around longer than they need to.
Can you lead our baraat?
Yes. The dhol players lead the groom's party from the meeting point to the venue doors. Tell us where the baraat starts, roughly how long the walk is and where it finishes, and we plan the timings with you.
Can dhol be played indoors if the venue has a sound limit?
Some venues set sound limits or ask for quieter drumming indoors. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we check the rules before we confirm, so there are no surprises on the day.
Do you provide dhol players for corporate events?
Yes. Dhol players are popular at product launches, Diwali and Vaisakhi parties, festivals and brand activations. Corporate bookings are priced separately because the timings, briefing and on-site requirements are usually different.
How does dhol player availability work?
Dhol teams have a set number of players, so bookings are first come, first served with a deposit. Once all the players in a team are booked, that team cannot take more bookings unless the timings work. Dhol players often plan their days ahead and do several events in one day, a mix of baraats, entrances and sets, so secure your date early.
Can dhol players do more than one event in a day?
Yes. Dhol players often do multiple events in a day, a mix of baraats, entrances and sets. That is why exact timings matter: they decide whether a team has a free player for your booking.
Are there package deals for dhol players?
Yes, and they are always worth asking for, especially if you book the same team for the baraat and the wedding reception. Dhol players can often reduce their price when you book a set only, because the time on site is a lot less than an entrance and set.
Is a dhol set only cheaper than an entrance and a set?
In most cases, yes. A set only means a lot less time on site than an entrance and a set, with no long wait in between, and most teams can reduce their price for it. Tell us what you want and we quote the options side by side.
When are dhol players needed at a Pakistani wedding?
At Pakistani weddings dhol players are typically needed for the groom's arrival. They can start outside as the groom and his family arrive, then play them into the hall until the groom is seated at the head stage. It is an end to end baraat, or groom's procession, from the entrance to the stage.
Do venues limit how long dhol players can play?
Some do, and it can change what you get on the day. Froyle Park, for example, only allows dhol players to play for 10 minutes, and The Fairmont Windsor Park does not let a baraat start before 10am. Always confirm the rules with your venue, caterer or wedding planner before you book.
Is there a maximum number of dhol players at my venue?
Some venues set one. Froyle Park and North Mymms Park both allow a maximum of two dhol players, and the Natural History Museum has started trialling a maximum of four at events to keep the noise level reasonable. Tell us your venue and we check the limit before we quote.
What time do dhol players have to finish?
It depends on the venue. At North Mymms Park the limit is not written in stone, but dhol players usually need to be finished by 10:30pm at the latest. Ask your venue for any cut-off and tell us, so we plan the main set around it.
Why do dhol players charge for time on site?
A professional team is paid for the time it is with you, not only the minutes it plays. A bride and groom entrance might be at 7pm with the main set not until the second half of the night, sometimes 11pm or 11:30pm. With travel included, the team can be on site for five to six hours with a lot of idle time between performances.
How much does a top-tier dhol team cost for a wedding reception?
A good top-tier professional team with UK and international wedding experience will likely charge around £1,400 to £1,500 for four dhol players for a reception entrance and set. Other alternatives are available, including smaller teams from £295 for two players.
What do professional dhol players play in a set?
Professional teams play their own pre-mixed sets, usually a mix of bhangra and English tracks lasting around 20 minutes. Top-tier teams also have exclusive Bollywood dhol sets so there is something for every crowd. Songs you want can be added at the end of the set, including freestyling with the DJ, as long as you agree it beforehand.
How does a bride and groom entrance work with dhol players?
The dhol players almost always stand on the dancefloor and play to a high-energy track you choose beforehand. They stand there so they can hear the music, and so your video and photo team get a clear shot of your entrance.
Do professional dhol players use microphones?
Yes. Professional dhol players have microphones in their dhols, so in a bigger venue the dhol can be plugged into the sound system for a fuller sound if required. Tell us your venue size and we plan the sound with your venue and DJ.
What do dhol players wear to a wedding?
A professional team offers uniform options that suit a wedding, so no trainers and no jeans. Tell us your dress code when you enquire and we agree the uniform beforehand.
What do I get when I book dhol players with Party Central?
A booking confirmation and a deposit so your booking is safe, office staff you can speak to and direct links to the dhol players themselves. Our teams are punctual, work to your itinerary and talk to you beforehand about the plan for the day. Party Central is registered on Companies House and VAT registered, so you are booking with a company you can trust.
Can dhol players play for any crowd and with any DJ?
Yes. Sets are mixed genre, and professional teams have experience playing with all kinds of DJs and in venues of every size. During a baraat they engage the crowd to keep the energy up.
Which venues near Malvern Hills can hold a large Asian wedding?
On our list, Three Counties Showground (up to 2000 guests), Sixways Stadium (up to 1000 guests) and West Midlands Safari Park (up to 400 guests) can take 400 or more guests. Tell us your venue and numbers and we will plan dhol players around the space.
Do venues around Malvern Hills have sound limits for dhol or music?
Many hotels and country houses set a sound limit or an end time, and some ask for unplugged dhol indoors. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check its rules before we confirm anything.
Can you do a baraat in Malvern Hills?
Yes. Baraats in Malvern Hills usually start at the family home, a meeting point near the venue or outside a local mandir, with dhol leading the groom in. Tell us the start point, the venue and roughly how long the walk is and we will plan the timings.
Which postcodes around Malvern Hills do you cover?
All of HR7 and WR6, including Clifton upon Teme, Great Witley, Martley, Abberley, Bromyard and High Lane, plus the rest of Worcestershire and nearby Worcester, Great Malvern, Cleobury Mortimer and Kidderminster.
What time will the dhol players arrive, and how will they look?
They arrive smartly dressed and on time, usually 30 to 45 minutes before the performance, so they are ready the moment you need them. We share arrival times and a contact number with you before the day.
Are your dhol players vetted and insured?
Yes. Every partner is vetted by our team before they are listed. They hold public liability insurance and certificates, carry out risk assessments, and any electrical equipment they bring is PAT tested. Venues often ask for these documents and we can supply them.
How far in advance should I book dhol players?
For weddings and summer weekends, book as early as you can, ideally several months ahead, as the best dates go first. We can often help at short notice too, so it is always worth asking.
Do you cover Malvern Hills and the rest of Worcestershire?
Yes. We book dhol players in Malvern Hills, across Worcestershire and the whole of West Midlands, for venues, homes and outdoor events.
