What is a Christmas theme?

Christmas is the biggest night of the year for many teams. Festive acts make it feel like an occasion: LED and gold nutcrackers at the door, festive living statues, champagne walkers and stilt walkers.

Combine Christmas with another theme (Christmas in Paris, a Gatsby Christmas or a Winter Wonderland) for something different from last year.

Where it works best

  • Step 1

Nutcrackers greeting guests at the door

  • Step 2

Festive statues and champagne walkers during the reception

  • Step 3

    Live music through dinner

  • Step 4

A show moment to launch the party

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Mix the themes

Christmas in Paris and a Gatsby Christmas are two of the most popular combinations.

  2. 2

    Think about the door

Nutcrackers at the entrance are the photo every guest takes.

  3. 3

    Hold dates now

Late November and December weekends are booked first. Midweek dates have more choice.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Shepton Mallet have sound limits for dhol or music?

Many hotels and country houses set a sound limit or an end time, and some ask for unplugged dhol indoors. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check its rules before we confirm anything.

Which postcodes around Shepton Mallet do you cover?

All of BA4 and BA5, including Somerset, Evercreech, Pilton, Wells, Westbury-sub-Mendip and Wookey, plus the rest of Somerset and nearby Midsomer Norton, Glastonbury, Wincanton and Frome.

How far ahead should we book Christmas party entertainment?

Ideally by the summer. Early December weekends are the first to go, and midweek dates give you more choice of acts.

Can you work with our venue's Christmas package?

Yes. Most venues welcome entertainment. We agree access, timings and space with the venue before the day.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
