What is a Diwali?

Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains with lamps, sweets, family visits and fireworks. In the UK it is also one of the busiest times of year for community events and company celebrations.

We supply Diwali entertainment for every size of event: Bollywood dancers, dhol players, sitar and tabla for a calmer welcome, DJs, decor with diyas and marigolds, and photo booths. For companies we build inclusive Diwali parties that work for every guest.

Where it works best

  • Step 1

Sitar and tabla during the welcome

  • Step 2

A Bollywood dance performance, then a short workshop for guests

  • Step 3

    Dhol to lift the room

  • Step 4

A DJ for the rest of the night

  • Step 5

Decor with lights, diyas and marigolds

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Explain the traditions

For mixed audiences, a short introduction from the host or dancers helps everyone feel part of it.

  2. 2

    Get guests dancing

A ten-minute Bollywood workshop breaks the ice better than any speech.

  3. 3

    Light it properly

Warm lighting and diyas (or LED alternatives where candles aren't allowed) transform a plain room.

All of IV30 and IV31, including Burghead, Hopeman, Lhanbryde and Lossiemouth, plus the rest of North Scotland and nearby Fochabers, Forres, Rothes and Buckie.

Yes. We plan inclusive Diwali parties for companies, from a lunchtime performance to an evening party.
