What is a Walima?

The Walima is the wedding feast hosted by the groom's family after the Nikkah, to share the marriage with family and friends over a meal. Some are grand banqueting events, others are quieter and more formal.

We set up the room to match: Walima stages and seating, flowers and lighting, catering, live instrumental music such as strings or sitar if wanted, photographers and videographers, and a photo booth for guests.

Where it works best

  • Step 1

A Walima stage for the couple, styled to your colours

  • Step 2

Floral centrepieces and lighting for the hall

  • Step 3

Instrumental music during arrivals and dinner, if you would like it

  • Step 4

A photographer, videographer and photo booth for guests

Tips from our team

  1. 1

Match the stage to the hall

A big hall needs a big stage. Share the room size and ceiling height when you enquire.

  2. 2

    Plan the couple's entrance

Even without music, a planned entrance with lighting gives everyone a moment to remember.

  3. 3

    Keep the photos flowing

A photo booth keeps guests busy while the couple have their portraits taken.
