About Shin DCS
Shin is the lead singer of DCS, a West Midlands band that grew out of Birmingham in the early 1980s and helped shape the first wave of UK bhangra alongside Alaap and Premi. The band name comes from its founding members Danny, Charanji and Shin, and Shin has led the group for decades.
DCS became known for bringing a rock feel to Punjabi beats, with Shin's powerful vocals at the centre. Albums such as Bhangra's Gonna Get You and Punjabi Dance Nation, and tracks like Tenu Kaul Ke Sharaab Wich and Putt Jatta Da, remain part of the UK bhangra story. DCS won Best Group at the UK Asian Music Awards in 2005 and Shin received an Outstanding Achievement award there in 2008.
Shin is a strong advocate for live music and still performs at weddings, including personalised first dance songs. He is a great choice for families who want a real band sound and the classics they grew up with.

Will come back and leave a review after the event, but Sanj has been very active in helping with the booking, thank you
