Tasha Tah

Tasha Tah is a British Asian singer-songwriter who grew up around the Indian music industry. She first came to attention as part of Stranger Family alongside Mumzy Stranger, whose debut track Ghetto Refix was an instant success, before going solo as an independent artist.

Her sound blends Punjabi vocals with R&B, reggaeton and pop, a style she describes as fusion bhangra. Her debut Haan De Munde made a strong impression, and Oye Oye became a summer favourite. Malang, featuring RaOol, was used in the Bollywood film Dobaara, and other tracks include Kurbaan, Lak Nu Hilla and Ya Baby.

Tasha brings a modern, feminine energy to an event. She works well at a mehndi, sangeet or reception where the couple want a contemporary British Asian feel alongside their bhangra. Her songs are especially popular with younger female guests, who tend to know the words.
