    Party Central event planning experience

Sanj from Party Central has been absolutely brilliant in helping us find the right DJ package for our event and venue. From the very beginning, he has been so friendly, approachable and genuinely helpful. He’s given us lots of great advice, not only about the DJ package but also about the venue, which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Sanj and Party Central.

What is a living statue?

A living statue is a performer in full costume and body paint who holds perfectly still, like a sculpture, then moves at just the right moment to surprise guests. Done well, people walk past assuming it is part of the decor.

Styles include floral statues, frozen ice queens, gilded classical figures and masked Venetian looks. They work on plinths at an entrance, along a garden path, beside a bar or on an exhibition stand, and some can hold a tray of drinks or favours.

Where it works best

  • Entrances and arrivals

A statue at the door is the first photo every guest takes.

  • Drinks receptions

Something to discover while photos and speeches happen.

  • Exhibition stands

Stops people in a busy hall and starts conversations.

  • Weddings

Floral statues matched to your flowers.

  • Winter events

Frozen statues and ice queens for a winter wonderland.

  • Masquerade balls

    Masked statues for old-world glamour.

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Place them where people walk

Statues work best on a route guests pass along, not tucked in a corner.

  2. 2

    Plan sets and breaks

Holding still is hard work. Statues perform in sets, which we plan around your timings.

  3. 3

    Think about lighting

A little uplighting on a statue makes the costume and the reveal far more dramatic.

Frequently asked questions

How much do human statues cost in New Ollerton?

Every booking is quoted individually, because the price of human statues depends on availability, your date, location and travel, how long you need them and your exact requirements. Send us your date and venue and we will come back with clear options. Quotes are free with no obligation.

How long can a living statue stay still?

Professional statues work in sets with short breaks. We plan the sets so there is always something happening when guests are around.

Can living statues serve drinks?

Some can hold a tray of champagne, canapés or favours. Tell us what you have in mind.

Which venues near New Ollerton can hold a large Asian wedding?

On our list, Kelham Hall and Country Park (up to 500 guests) can take 400 or more guests. Tell us your venue and numbers and we will plan human statues around the space.

Do venues around New Ollerton have sound limits for dhol or music?

Many hotels and country houses set a sound limit or an end time, and some ask for unplugged dhol indoors. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check its rules before we confirm anything.

All of NG22, including Bilsthorpe, Farnsfield, Tuxford and Ollerton, plus the rest of Nottinghamshire and nearby Mansfield, Retford, Newark-on-Trent and Worksop.

What time will the human statues arrive, and how will they look?

They arrive smartly dressed and on time, usually 30 to 45 minutes before the performance, so they are ready the moment you need them. We share arrival times and a contact number with you before the day.

Are your human statues vetted and insured?

Yes. Every partner is vetted by our team before they are listed. They hold public liability insurance and certificates, carry out risk assessments, and any electrical equipment they bring is PAT tested. Venues often ask for these documents and we can supply them.

How far in advance should I book human statues?

For weddings and summer weekends, book as early as you can, ideally several months ahead, as the best dates go first. We can often help at short notice too, so it is always worth asking.

Do you cover New Ollerton and the rest of Nottinghamshire?
